At the end of 2018 I had completed the writing on the debut EP for The Sacred Woods. I had anticipated that it wold have ben fully recorded and released by end of January. Well here we are in mid April and we have only recorded 2 of the 5 tracks.
Now I realise this all takes time and as I am not doing the recording and mixing myself I am reliant on another member of the band to do this, but it seems to be taking too long this time round. My frustration is that I have already written a load more tunes that I would like to get released but we need to get the EP done before we move on to the album. I think I need to find a way to speed up the process.
I have only done small amounts of recording myself and I am not sure that I would be able to get the required quality of the final output. But I need to way this up against the time it is taking to release material. At this rate the album wont be out until the end of the year! Over the next couple of month I am going to record a few solo tracks and look at getting them released just to try out the process and see what sort of results I can get.
On a positive note though, we continue to get great feedback at our live shows and another member of the band has started to write some really interesting and diverse material which means we will have some fantastic music to share (once we get the recording process sorted).
